Much of my work deals with dreams & a dreamlike state, as a metaphor for imagination & yearning, so here's another dreamer.

Winged Heads (Hypnos, Morpheus)

Another sculpture in Blender, this time of winged heads -- the Greek gods Hypnos (sleep) & Morpheus (dreams) come to mind. I've displayed them here from multiple angles, as the wonderful thing about scupture is that it should function (& continually surprise) when seen from various viewpoints. I'm hoping to 3D print or otherwise cast these sculptures at some future point when a semblance of normality returns.

A World Made of Dreams

My first ink drawing of 2017, featuring the god Morpheus (lord of sleep and dreams). Not a bad start to the year, not a perfect drawing by any means, but a good omen, I think.

Second piece on gatorboard

Below is my second (finished) piece on the gatorboard surface, The Mask of Morpheus. This is more of a monochrome painting (done over an ink & brush drawing, which can be seen underneath here & there). I am liking this as a surface to work on & am thinking of moving up in scale a little...

Morpheus in His Land of Dreams

This is the latest in a mini-series of artworks depciting Morpheus, god of dreams. It was done on a small jute (type of fibre used to make canvas) panel, with the grain & color of the support showing through.
