Strange Figurations at the Limner Gallery

I just received a packet of postcards for this show in the mail. My painting ("The Man Who Saw the World From Inside a Protective Bubble") is not on the postcard (it's a group show), so I'm posting it below, along with the front & back of the postcard invite. The Limner Gallery is in Hudson, NY.

A Show of Heads / Limner Gallery / October 2013

I just received some postcards from the Limner Gallery in Hudson NY where I am featured in the upcoming Show of Heads, a fixture of the gallery calendar, like the "Strange Figurations" show they also have every year. I've scanned in the postcard -- front side image is by Ċ½eljko Brguljan, reverse side image by Kelly Blevins, & I've added my own piece, "The Strange Case of the Tragic Hero" below. Also highlighted my name in the list of artists. The Limner Gallery is at 123 Warren Street, the main street of Hudson, NY. The gallery web site is here. Hope you can make it...

The Uninvitables

The Uninvitables is a new group show that I'm in, in Millbrook NY from October 22-24 2010. It's in a "pop-up" gallery, utilizing a vacant retail space (that actually was until recently an art gallery) to showcase more offbeat Hudson Valley artists (i.e. not producing standard landscape fare). Should be a great show. I'll post more details when I have them. But, here's what I have now:

The Uninvitables
October 22-24, 2010. Opening reception: Oct 22, from 5-10pm
Address: 3262 Franklin Ave, Millbrook NY.

Thanks to Jeff Romano for setting up & curating the show, & Doug Shippee for the layout & production of the poster.

The image on the poster (each of the artists gets one) is "Menowar" from 2007.

Exhibit opens today

Here is the flyer for the show that opens today in Rhinebeck:

Please click on the graphic for a more legible version.

Jim's landscapes are in the front section, I'm in the back. For me, it was kind of a last-minute thing, as Jim offered me the space that he didn't really have enough pieces to fill. I have 18 artworks in the show, dating from 2006-2009. I have 4 large paintings (from 2006, the oldest works in the show), plus a few new smallish paintings, some ink drawings & silverpoints.
